FAQ
Questions we're asked.
The questions we hear most often before a first visit. For anything else, call +82-2-336-3888.
Q · 01Where is Jeju Special House Hongdae located?
At 36, Jandari-ro 6-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul (Seogyo-dong), on the ground floor. It is about an 8-minute walk from Hongik Univ. Station Exit 9 (Line 2, AREX, Gyeongui–Jungang Line), roughly 7 minutes from Sangsu Station (Line 6) and 10 minutes from Hapjeong Station.
Q · 02What are the opening hours and last order time?
Monday to Friday 16:00–03:00 (next day), Saturday and Sunday 12:00–03:00. Last order is 02:30 every day — so it works as a late-night Korean BBQ stop in Hongdae.
Q · 03How do I make a reservation?
Book online through Naver Booking or CatchTable, or call +82-2-336-3888. Friday and Saturday evenings usually have a queue, so reserving ahead is recommended.
Q · 04What do you recommend ordering?
For a first visit, the Jeju Special Set (M, 500 g / ₩49,000) — pork jowl, nape, cheek, special cut and belly with grilled vegetables, all in one order. Finish with Jeju green tangerine makguksu (₩6,900) or bracken fried rice (₩5,900).
Q · 05Are there foreign-language menus? Is it comfortable for tourists?
Yes — menus are available in Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese. Hongik Univ. Station connects directly to Incheon Airport on the AREX line, so it is an easy stop mid-trip.
Q · 06Which rare Jeju pork cuts do you serve?
Pork jowl (₩15,000), nape (₩15,000), special cut (₩13,000) and cheek (₩13,000) are available à la carte, alongside pork belly (₩18,000), pork neck (₩18,000) and pork skin (₩9,900). Each cut has a different texture, so a set is the best way to compare them side by side.
Q · 07Do the staff grill the meat for you?
We guide you through the order and method. Each table has a "how to enjoy it 200%" card, and because each cut cooks differently, staff will step in and help whenever you ask.
Q · 08Is there parking?
We do not have our own parking lot. Please use one of the public or private car parks around Jandari-ro in Hongdae — or, if you can, take the subway (8 minutes on foot from Hongik Univ. Station Exit 9).
